The Tissue Characterization Laboratory provides services for the structural and physical characterization of biological tissues and tissue scaffolds, including microstructure and mechanical tests, as well as in the study of the mechanical behavior of living tissues (especially in the musculoskeletal and cardiovascular systems), medicine regenerative, implant design and evaluation.The U13 Tissue Characterization Laboratory participates in the ICTS of the Ciber-BBN Nanbiosis, one of the 29 ICTSs recently renewed by the Ministry of Science and Innovation and Universities.
