The Aragon Institute for Engineering Research, I3A Unizar, announces eight Co-funding Grants (at 25%) for N3 type Research Bridging Contracts (or N4 if the requirements for an N3 are not met) for a period of six months.
The objective is to initiate the research proposal and it is necessary to apply for some aid for the hiring of pre-doctoral research personnel in training for the completion of the doctoral thesis. The maximum total co-funding provided by the I3A amounts to approximately 2,750 euros.
Applications may be submitted until Monday 3 July 2023 at 14:00.
Who can apply?
Students who have enrolled, are already admitted or pre-admitted to a doctoral programme at the University of Zaragoza, and whose tutoring is provided by a permanent member of the I3A.
Applicants for this grant must submit a research initiation proposal, supervised by a permanent member of the I3A, supported by the Principal Investigator of a research project that will support the work and that will provide the rest of the funding for the research contract.
They must also apply for a call for pre-doctoral grants to carry out the thesis (DGA, FPU or similar), together with their I3A tutor, and inform the Institute of the result of their application.
PhD students who have received equivalent support for the co-financing of I3A bridging contracts in previous calls are not eligible for this grant.
What are the selection criteria?
- Undergraduate and Master's academic transcript: 7 points
- Adequacy of the CV to the research proposal: 2 points
- Effective affiliation of the permanent member to the I3A: 1 point. The maximum score will be considered if he/she has signed as I3A in the last two years at least two international articles, or two competitive projects, or one article and one project.
