Confocal microscopy enables high-resolution imaging by eliminating out-of-focus light via a pinhole, producing sharp 3D reconstructions of cells, tissues and fluorescent samples. The Digital LightSheet (DLS) module adds light-sheet illumination, which is ideal for thick samples, reducing phototoxicity and enabling rapid volumetric acquisitions.

MICA WideFocal Microscope
Leica
The Leica MICA WideFocal system integrates transmitted light and fluorescence illumination with four light sources (405, 488, 561 and 638 nm) and enables the simultaneous acquisition of up to 4 fluorochromes via four 5 MP monochrome cameras with real-time spectral separation. It features 1.6x, 10x, 20x and 63x (water immersion) objectives, a motorised XY stage compatible with multi-well plates (384-well to 6-well), Petri dishes and slides. It includes multidimensional software for mosaics and multiple positions, automatic fluorescence optimisation and the THUNDER image enhancement method.
