This Task is a continuation of IEA SHC Task 58 that ended in December 2019.
The purpose of this task is to drive compact thermal energy storage (CTES) technology developments to accelerate the market introduction of these technologies through international collaboration of experts from approximately 15 different countries in materials research, components and systems integration; and industrial and research organizations.
It consists of the following 5 subtasks:
- Subtask A: Characterization of materials
- Subtask B: Improvement of CTES materials
- Subtask C: Load Status
- Subtask D: PCM and TCM Stability
- Subtask E: Efficient behavior of teams with innovative materials (subtask led by GITSE)
