This line of work seeks to take advantage of a new type of clinical sampling of growing importance: the deposition of biological fluids on clinical filter paper (DMS).
This type of sample has significant advantages in terms of collection, transport and ease of storage, being ideal for testing newborns or chronic patients, for example. Our group is a pioneer in the development of direct analysis methods for these samples to control metals and to obtain isotopic information, which can help diagnose and/or monitor the treatment of ailments.
