Greetings,

The United States Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics (ASA(ALT)) is partnering with the US Army Futures Command (AFC)-DEVCOM Atlantic, the US Air Force’s AFWERX program and the US Navy Office of Naval Research-Global (ONR-G) to launch its first international prize competition, xTech Global Artificial Intelligence (AI) Challenge.

With your university program/institute at the forefront of AI development, we are reaching out in an effort to connect with small businesses and innovators that would benefit from this potential opportunity for exposure, funding, and networking.

The xTechGlobal AI Challenge will consist of a two-round competition; 1) a call for white papers and 2) a finalist pitch event. This year’s topic is AI-enabled Multi-modal Analytics in Resource Constrained Environments. After a review of the concept white papers, up to ten finalists will receive an award of $10,000 each and be invited to pitch their dual-use technologies during the pitch event at the Innovation Hub (I-HUB) Imperial College London this September 2021. Up to three winners will be selected for an additional cash prize.

The xTechGlobal AI Challenge competition strives to integrate international small businesses into the Army’s science and technology ecosystem.

If you are aware of a small business or innovator that may be interested in participating, please share this email and visit the xTech website for more information.
