As the new Programming Period for Horizon Europe gets underway, we wanted to highlight an important change that may affect your project proposals. As you are likely aware, one of the most significant changes in the new Programming Period is that dissemination and exploitation plans are now required at the proposal stage. The European Commission is aiming for the results of each Horizon Europe project to reach society directly, so impact statements can no longer be general and theoretical. Instead, they need to demonstrate actual impact using data.
For proposals with the same score, the EC has established a prioritization method. Proposals that address aspects of the call which have not been covered by more highly-ranked proposals will be granted the highest priority. After this, proposals with equal scores in "Excellence" are prioritized according to the scores of "Impact." Therefore, developing a good impact section has become crucial to the success of your proposal.
To help you develop successful communication, dissemination, and exploitation strategies that will help your project proposals stand out and achieve the desired impact, we have launched a 2-day training course on Impact of E.C. Funded Research. The course covers all key elements from regulatory and contractual issues to designing successful strategies to putting them to use in R&I projects.
Our upcoming scheduled course dates are as follows:
• 27-28 April 2023, Online
• 3-4 July 2023, Athens
