I+D, bloque 5, 2ª planta).
Brief Bio. S. Jansen is passionate about the importance of working alongside engineers to understand the mechanics behind many vascular pathologies such as aortic aneurysm, dissection, and peripheral arterial disease, and why close collaboration via a shared language of haemodynamics can shed light on risk prediction, inform patient specific intervention and optimise outcomes. Understanding of device failure mechanisms in pressurised circuits will inform innovation of next generation devices but the way in which we handle the use of assumptions in CFD in particular, is crucial to engagement between vascular surgeons and bioengineers.
