The MotoStudent Unizar team, comprising 29 students from the University of Zaragoza, took part in ExpoTalent 2026 at the Río Ebro Campus. This event has become a showcase for the team to demonstrate the progress made on their prototype for the international MotoStudent challenge, a competition that goes beyond the academic sphere to serve as a real-world technology testbed.
A 360-degree engineering project
MotoStudent isn’t “just about building a motorbike”; it’s an engineering and management challenge in which students design, build and test a competition prototype in accordance with professional regulations. The team comprises 29 young minds organised into specialist departments: Electric, Petrol, Structures, Business and Networks.
This ecosystem allows members to apply cutting-edge knowledge in a high-pressure environment, similar to that of MotoGP teams.
The value of partnerships: collaboration with businesses
“The success of this prototype would not be possible without the support of the business community. Our collaboration with our sponsors goes beyond funding; it is an exchange of talent and technology,” say members of the MotoStudent Unizar team.
That is why they are taking part in ExpoTalent 2026 with a stand where they are showcasing their work to companies in the technology and industrial sectors.
Key date: 24 April in Zuera
Theory and practical sessions give way to action. On 24 April, the team will head to the Zuera International Circuit for a day of critical testing. “This test session will be vital for studying the performance of the prototypes for the eighth edition,” say the students.
