CeNIT

Communication Networks and Information Technologies

The Communications Networks and Information Technologies (CeNIT) group focuses its activity in the field of communications networks and technologies and services for the information society and is recognized as a reference research group by the Government of Aragon (ref. T31_20R ).

CeNIT It is made up of 14 professors assigned to the areas of Telematics Engineering (IT) y Signal Theory and Communications (TSC) from the University of Zaragoza, in addition to a professor from the Defense University Center (CUD) and a researcher hired doctor and 2 researchers in training (PFU/PFI).

Research lines

Currently, CeNIT's research activity can be structured, as seen in figure 1, into two broad interrelated lines: one oriented to the design, implementation and evaluation of technologies and services for the citizen, fundamentally related to the field of e-Health and another line aimed at advanced mobile communication systems and 4G / 5G heterogeneous networks. Both are framed in a common context: the provision of innovative services for the information society on new communications networks. The areas of cybersecurity and quality of service and experience (QoS and QoE) of both networks and telematic services are found across the two R & D & I lines.
